Spectacular yet convenient Teahouse Trek

For years it had been my dream to visit Nepal and trek in the Himalaya. In 2012, I fulfilled this dream and spent four weeks in Nepal.

Trekking in Nepal can be done on any level, ranging from convenient teahouse treks with porter and guide to adventurous high altitude mountain trekking in very remote areas. The most famous areas for teahouse trekking are the Annapurna region and the Everest region, and most recently the Manaslu area. The easiest way to trek in Nepal is to book an organized tour. Many tour operators offer fully organized treks, usually to the Annapurna and to the Everest region.

Trekking alone

Trekking alone is a great experience, and Nepal is a great country for trekking alone.

The Circuit

The Annapurna Circuit is a spectacular trek around the Annapurna massif. It is some 225km in length, and can be extended to 250km or 300km with side trips.
